Thomas à Kempis

01/01/1380 - 24/07/1471Thomas à Kempis was a German-Dutch canon regular of the late medieval period and the author of The Imitation of Christ, one of the most popular and best known Christian devotional books. He was born in 1380 and died in 1471. His work echoes the Devotio Moderna group of religious reformers who sought to return to the 'primitive' Christianity of the Gospels.
