Beatrix Potter
27/07/1866 - 21/12/1943Beatrix Potter was a British writer, illustrator, natural scientist, and conservationist best known for her children's books featuring animals, such as those in 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit'. She was boorn into a privileged household but shunned the conventions of the Victorian era to embrace her artistic and scientific interests. Later in life, she played a key role in preserving much of the land that now comprises the Lake District National Park.Northern Ireland
