Virginia M. Axline
14/02/1911 - 08/03/1988Virginia Mae Axline was a psychologist and one of the pioneers in the use of play therapy. She is widely known for her book, 'Dibs in Search of Self', which chronicles a series of play therapy sessions over a period of one year with an emotionally crippled boy. She made many contributions to the field of psychology and to the treatment methods of children with mental health disorders.United States
