She is best known for her autobiographical graphic novels 'Persepolis' and 'Persepolis 2' which detail her childhood and early adult years in Iran during and after the Islamic revolution. Her works have been widely acclaimed and she is recognized as one of the most important feminist authors and filmmakers of this century.France
